This test method covers determination of specific gravity and density of semi - solid bituminous materials, asphalt cements and soft tar pitches. This test is carried out a temperature of 25°C ± 0,2°C using a pycnometer.

    Pycnometer 24 to 30ml, maximum weight 40g, and T 100 thermostatic bath with temperature range from 5°C above surrounding to +250 °C. This model is equipped with a cooling coil allowing connection to a cooling source for a regulation down to 5°C above the cooling source.
