YIELD STRESS AND APPARENT VISCOSITY OF ENGINE OILS
AT LOW TEMPERATURE

ASTM D3829 - ASTM D4684 - SAE J300

DEFINITION

Standardized test method which covers the determination of yield stress and apparent viscosity of engine oils at low temperature

This test method covers the measurement of the yield stress and viscosity of engine oils controlled over a period of 45 hours up to final test temperatures between -5°C and - 35 °C.

CHARACTERISTICS

  • CMRV 2LF without cooling system
  • CMRV 3 LF with cooling system
  • Delivered with micro-computer
  • Integrated cycles for 0 W, 10 W, 15 W, 20 W and 25 W
  • SPECIFICATION

The CMRV 2LF Tester must be connected to a separate refrigeration system ( minimum - 40 °C) in order to cool the measuring aluminium block.

The CMRV 3LF Tester is delivered complete with built-in cooling system

These 2 testers are delivered with micro-computer, software and control thermometer
