The NU14 is a servo-pneumatic machine for testing asphaltic paving materials. Maximum loading capacity is normally up to 14kN with an air supply of 7 bar. The actuators are double acting which means that both compressive and tensile forces can be applied. This gives a high degree of control over the load waveform and enables loads to be cycled between tension and compression at high frequencies for tests such as bending beam fatigue. �Cycling at frequencies up to 70Hz �14kN static at 7bar (19kN static at 10bar), 9kN at 2.5Hz for modulus tests (This is sufficient for most high modulus materials) �Built in displacement transducer for precise position control �Control & Data Acquisition system with precision 16 bit digital servo-control �Load and force transducers calibrated to United Kingdom Accredited Standards �Transducers available for modulus, permanent deformation and triaxial tests �A wide range of test fixtures is available for asphalt and unbound tests � Triaxial cells for 100mm and 150mm diameter specimens for the testing of unbound materials � Normally supplied with temperature controlled cabinet (-10�C to +60�C, �0.2�C) � Software to perform American, Chinese and European standard tests � Universal test software routine The CRT-NU14 can be used for: � Mix design � End product specification � The assessment of new materials � Failure investigation �Pavement assessment SYSTEM ELEMENTS CRT-NU14.
